At sometime we all need to network with others in our field, meet potential volunteers for our organization and improve our skills. It all about getting connected with our community! Volunteer McKinney Center can offer you that opportunity through three different outreach programs.

If you manage volunteers and want to network with Collin County non- profit agencies in a more structured environment, please attend quarterly meetings at our new Collin County Volunteer Managers Roundtable (CCVMR) venue. This networking opportunity is hosted by Volunteer McKinney Center and Volunteer Center North Texas. The meeting location rotates each quarter between McKinney and Plano. The meetings will focus on hot topics about volunteer management, new program training and guest speakers.

For those of you who supervise volunteers as a paid employee or as a volunteer, Coffee Table Talks is a great networking opportunity and a way to get connected to your peers. This relaxed get-together is held every other month at 9 AM at different locations through out the community including the museums, libraries and non-profit agencies and coffee shops. It is not only an opportunity for you to network with others that deal with the same issues, successes and challenges you do, but it also enables you to visit and learn about other organizations in the community that work with volunteers. Of course, coffee is served along with lots of dialogue, ideas and possibilities.

If you are an Executive Director or program manager of a staff of one or many please attend the Leader's Lunch held each month at noon. This is a special opportunity to share with other leaders in your field about specific issues that you deal with on a regular basis. Possibilities, solutions and ideas are shared in an open and welcoming environment as you connect with other leaders in your community.
