Thanks for your interest in helping VMC to fulfill its goal of connecting people who can help with people who need help through facilitating, enabling and promoting the importance of volunteerism in this community.

Volunteer McKinney Center serves as a central link between citizens and nonprofit agencies by providing a web site that matches volunteers with volunteer opportunities in the community.

Volunteer McKinney Center is a resource for volunteer education and leadership through our Youth Volunteer Advisory Board and Youth programming, our networking opportunities for local agencies and our education opportunities that include a certificate program Leading Effectively in the Nonprofit World.

Volunteer McKinney Center encourages a spirit of giving in the community by coordinating Make A Difference Day in October where hundreds of volunteers work on projects throughout the community, by facilitating a home rehab program with the City of McKinney and hosting an annual celebration honoring volunteers of all ages from the schools, businesses, agencies and churches.

Volunteer McKinney Center accomplishes all of this through the work of just one paid staff member with the assistance of volunteers and a Board of Directors.

Volunteerism is truly a matter of the heart.  We hope that you will make it a matter of your heart and help VMC continue its mission to connect people who can help with people who need help.
